Bengaluru: Auto driver's Rs 1.6 crore villa was charity from American lady, reveals probe

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, May 7: Investigation into the auto driver, who was nabbed by the income tax (I-T) officers after he purchased a villa worth Rs 1.6 crore, has revealed that his wealth was in fact a reward from an American lady for helping her out, and that there was no wrongdoing involved.

Auto driver Nalluralli Subramani came under the I-T scanner after he bought a posh villa in the city's Whitefield area. He was accused of having nexus with certain political leaders and helping them evade tax. It was even said that the sleuths had found documents pointing at benami properties. Meanwhile, Subramani reportedly told the investigators that his wealth was a result of an American lady's generosity.

As it now turns out, Subramani was telling the truth. An American woman, identified as Lara Evison came to Bengaluru in 2006. She came in contact with Subramani, who helped her around the city. Evison stayed in Bengaluru till 2010, and during these years, Subramani acted as her guide in the city.

Upon learning about Subramani's poor financial conditions, Evison offered to help him and his family monetarily. She extended financial aid to fund his children's education and later helped him acquire the villa.

The I-T department has already recorded Evison's statement, sources said. Both Subramani and Evison have also furnished documents that prove the same.

There is no benami angle to the case, nor does Subramani have any political links as suspected, sources said.

Subramani, the auto driver rightly deserved the Rs. 1.6 crore villa as gift from Lara Evison, the American lady. She appreciated the service given for more than 4 years by the auto driver. Luckily both of them had evidence that it was a charity as otherwise Income Tax department would have grabbed the villa and put Subramani into endless trouble.

What a Generous Lady, to help him out she gifted 1.5 Crore Villa WOW!

Not a decent 1 or 2 BHK house? each and every auto driver should cross paths with such people, in fact, each and every poor in India, so that everyone becomes rich and started staying in Villas.

Mr Subramani got 1.6 crore Villa as a gift from a foreign Lady considering 5 years of his service to her. Siddu got 80 lakh Hublot watch from a foreign friend withought doing anything. Hence the verdict is Siddu's friend is more generous than American Lady.

When people stop accumulating wealth for kids, great grand kids, and another layers of generation and stop worrying of poor life has no meaning. It is a cultural things to be tight with money and money is only for own family members to share and use. Sad. Indians Starts donating thier wealth for the poor people of Indians poverty will be reduced significantly but most of them dont give away thier money to poor but suck the the poor workers to become more wealthy.
