Bangalore: Mob Lynches 20 Strays after Canine Attack

Bangalore, Apr 7: Six children were bitten by a pack of stray dogs in Tippu Mohalla of DJ Halli on Monday. One of them suffered serious injuries. Angry residents chased and killed about 20 stray dogs.

It happened around 2 pm when some children were playing on the streets, and were suddenly attacked by dogs. Nisha, 5, from Bihar, was seriously injured. She was rescued by passers-by and admitted to Bowring Hospital. The other children escaped with minor injuries. Three of them have been identified as Firdaus, Husna and Mary. The other two children were not identified.

BBMP joint director (animal husbandry) Parviz Ahmed Piran, who visited the hospital in the evening, said the Palike will take care of Nisha’s vaccination and treatment costs. A BBMP team will visit the spot on Tuesday.

    Stray animals are increasing. Dogs, Cats, Cow, buffalo, etc. increased on the road. Dogs are sleeping inside the Bangalore Airport. Now adays there is no Government order to cull the stray dogs. Government is sleeping like stray dog.

    Good job by residents. Human being also act like stray dogs and the people should react in the same way.

    Good job from Residents people for killing that Dogs. Everyone should Kill that Dogs which are giving trouble to innocent children and Two wheeler Riders.

    BBMP sleeps till anything like this happens. Good that Maneka Gandhi is busy preparing tiffin for her son else, there would have been huge cry about killing the dogs.
