Earlier Media Release:
Dubai, Apr 12: Ferarites-UAE presents “The Vocal Touch” - A Voice Workshop exclusively for children- On learning the art of healthy singing.
After organizing a successful first ever voice workshop for adults in Dubai in October, 2008, Ferarites-UAE is now gearing up for presenting a unique voice workshop exclusively meant for children between the age group of 6 & 13 on learning the art of healthy singing on May 8th, 2009 between 12.30 and 4.00 pm at Karama Hotel, Karama, and Dubai. This workshop is being presented by Mr. Jossie Moras-LTCL (Licentiate of Trinity college, London) a Vocal Coach, Music Educator and Choral Director who doesn't require any special introduction as he is a well known personality amongst children and adults alike. This workshop is being conducted in association with M/s Integrated Freight and Logistics LLC, Dubai, a premier freight and logistic solution providing company & M/s Golden Talent Music Centre, Dubai who are pioneers in the field of music, dance and fine arts training.
Every child loves to sing and we all agree that children should be encouraged to sing. The question is how and what songs a child should sing? Apart from the songs children learn in schools they are often influenced by Radio, Video and TV and most of the time they blindly imitate what they hear and see. It is sad to see many children and teens ruin their voices trying to sing songs which are not suitable for those young and still developing voices.
Vocal skills, such as correct posture, breathing, diction, expressive singing, music reading, tone production, blend and musical interpretation and ear training should be taught to them at this stage. Children should be very much encouraged to sing keeping in mind their overall vocal health says Jossie Moras, a voice/singing professional with more than 17 years of experience as a singer, teacher and choral director. He studied music with professional teachers and got himself qualified with a Licentiate Diploma in singing from the Trinity college of London, scoring distinction marks. He trains children, youth and adult choirs belonging to various communities in the city. In addition to his profession as a singing specialist and music educator, he conducts voice workshops and gives voice training for singers & speakers.
How can my child sing better and with more strength and power? How can a child gain more confidence on the stage? How to take care of his/her voice? I am sure these are the questions most of the parents have for their children as they want to have a bright future for their kids who are interested in the field of music and singing says Lancy Madtha, MD of M/s IFL, a premier freight & logistic company based in Dubai and is on the verge of expansion mode elsewhere in UAE and Middle East. He was instrumental in bringing voice workshop for adults in the year 2008.
This workshop will help your children discover their vocal/singing abilities and give them an opportunity to express themselves musically says Mrs. Jacinta Moras, managing director of Golden Talent Music Centre, a well known music institute in Dubai who have trained large number of children till date.
Vincent Pereira, President of "Ferarites-UAE, a premier charity, cultural and entertainment association, in a press release to media said by arranging this workshop, many children who are enthusiastic to sing and tone up their voice will get an opportunity to learn the art of healthy singing and at the same time enjoy every moment of it. This workshop will fulfill the promise made by Ferarites-UAE last year in the adult voice workshop where many parents had requested for holding a separate workshop for children, he said.
Vincent Pereira, further said, planning this workshop for children wouldn't have been possible without the active support of Mr. Lancy Madtha, MD of M/S Integrated Freight & Logistics LLC, Dubai, Jossie Moras and Jacinta Moras of GTMC.
He lauded the support of Daijiworld.com, Gulf Kannadia.com, 105.4 (Radio Spice) FM radio channel and Konkani media for their unstinted support in providing media coverage thereby reaching message to the readers/listeners and sought their support in the future as well.
