I have closely moved with The Police Department and have had the privilege of working with them. The present move by Mr. Sanjiv Patil to install TV cameras is an excellent idea.

This method works very well in U.S.A., Canada and all advanced countries. There are not many traffic policemen controlling the traffic as such. They follow the records of the T.V. cameras and accordingly impose fines on errant drivers.

It is time that the fines are increased to at least Rs.500/- for the first offence. The fines in U.S.A. are $150/- for breaking a traffic signal. This equivalent to Rs.8,500/-.

Installing CCTV in Buildings is the responsibility of Members or Owners of the Society. Police should install CCTV on main roads to curb speeding, traffic violations & reinforce confidence among people ...

CCTV should be installed by the police department or the govt....They can't impose fine on the commercial owners....its more necessary for the department and not for the commercial people...Govt spend so much money for unnecessary things y cant they provide CCTV . No one can force to install camera. If required let the department install it...CCTV cost nearly 10-15 thousand ...we pay tax let the govt install.
