53.28% Turnout in Lok Sabha Polls in Goa

Panaji, Apr 24:  The fate of the 18 candidates for the two parliamentary seats in Goa was recorded in the EVM's and are now being sealed and locked in the strong room as only 53.28% exercised their voting right during the phase II of the Lok Sabha polls in Goa on Thursday, April 23.

As per the final provisional voting figures in percentage, the North Goa recorded an overall 56.50% in comparison to the 50.34% in the South.  All the candidates are confident of winning. The election was carried out very peaceful with no recorded untoward incidents.
