Kundapur, May 29: In the backdrop of central intelligence information that ISIS terrorists have left Sri Lanka for Lakshadweep, a coordination meeting of fisheries officials, officials of the department of ports, Gangolli police and fishermen was held on Monday May 27 at Gangolli. The meeting was chaired by police inspector of Coastal Security Police Force (CSPF), Shivaprakash.

Addressing the gathering, Shivaprakash asked them to be vigilant in view of the intelligence output received from the intelligence department. He asked the officials of all the departments to cooperate with the police. He requested the fishermen in particular to convey information to the police whenever they notice some unnatural happenings or if their suspicion is aroused. "We have been keeping close watch on Gangolli port and nearby areas. CCTVs have been installed in strategic spots. There is no need to be panicky," he stated.

Assistant director of fisheries, Anjana Devi, official of ports and fisheries department, Antony Felista, joint secretary of Country Boat Fishermen's Association, Nagappayya Patel, Augustine Rodrigues of Coastal Security Police Force, Gururaj, Raghavendra and Surendra were present.
