Bengaluru: Waiting for coalition govt to collapse: Yeddyurappa

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru

Bengaluru, May 29: Karnataka Leader of Opposition B S Yeddyurappa who had earlier demanded for fresh polls and dissolution of the Assembly seems to have changed his mind.

On Wednesday, May 29, he told reporters that the JD(S)-Congress coalition is on the verge of collapse and the 105 BJP MLAs are willing to wait. “We don’t want to go for fresh polls. Everyone has opined the same,” he said.

He also stressed that the MLAs of the coalition government should resign, as they failed to give good governance. "People do not deserve to live in an atmosphere of confusion and loot," he said.

Yeddyurappa who has always been against the fresh polls had surprised everybody on Tuesday, when he had spoken in favour of dissolution of assembly. Sources say that Yeddyurappa prefers to lure the disgruntled coalition MLAs than face fresh polls, even though the chances of BJP winning the polls are high.

“If BJP wins in the fresh polls, the credit will go to Narendra Modi and not to Yeddyurappa. There are chances that central leadership and Sangh Parivar would prefer a second-rung leader as chief minister. Yeddyurappa does not want to lose any opportunity of being the CM,” says a source.

Meanwhile, BJP MLAs especially those from the Sangh Parivar background are pressurizing the party leadership to opt for midterm polls than wait for the coalition to collapse.

I bet if BJP comes to power in Karnataka, the situation will be worser than the present one.
We saw three CMs in the last term and unlimited amount of infighting and abuse between, Yeddyurappa, Anant kumar, sadananda gowda and eshwarappa
