Bengaluru: Did Anant Kumar Hegde miss ministry because of outbursts?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, May 31: Uttara Kannada member of parliament, Anant Kumar Hegde, who was a minister of state in the department of skill development in the union ministry, has missed the bus now. He is not among those who were administered oath of office under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on Thursday May 30.

Many attribute the denial of ministerial position to Hegde's habit of getting into controversies through his outbursts which often put the party's leadership in an awkward position. It is said that even after allotting the important skill development ministry, Hegde not only termed it initially as a well without water, but also failed to perform up to the expectations of the Prime Minister.

During last year's assembly election, instead of consciously working to win more seats for the party, he created a piquant situation by announcing that the BJP had come to power to affect amendment to the constitution. This statement is said to have caused loss to the party in the assembly election, and it also angered national president of BJP, Amit Shah. During the recent Lok Sabha election, his tweet that supported the view that Gandhiji's assassin, Godse, was a patriot, had met with lot of criticism from within and outside the party. A senior leader of the party guessed that Hegde lost out because of these reasons.

The failure to make the grade has also disappointed Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP, Shobha Karandlaje, and Kalaburagi MP, Umesh Jadhav, who were expected to be included in the cabinet. It was widely believed that Jadhav, in spite of being a first time MP, would be rewarded for taming long term MP and eminent Congress leader, Mallikarjun Kharge. It was also thought that former minister, Ramesh Jigajinagi, Umesh Jadhav or V Srinivas Prasad would be made a minister as they hail from reserved constituencies. Shobha, it was thought, would be considered under the quota meant for Vokkaliga and women. But that did not happen.

Yes. Mr. Ananth Kumar Hegde lost a chance because he embarrassed the top leaders of BJP by his unnecessary utterances. Amending the constitution for the provision suggested by Mr. Hegde is possible only when it is passed in the parliament by 2/3rd majority and half the states of the union concurring. Because the secularism is the basic fundamental of the constitution. India is today honoured by the world nations not because it is a hindu nation, but because it is the largest democracy in the world. Its egalitarian and secular ideals have made this country great. Our top leaders of the country know this and they are proud move among world leaders with these principles in our constitution. They do not want to lose face by amending those world accepted ideals of secular and democratic India. That is why they got angry by the suggestions by Mr. Hegde and thought that he is not worthy to be inducted in the cabinet.

The six-time BJP MP Anant Kumar Hegde who is famous for his motor mouth is not dropped for the outburst, but it is Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh sinister plan to give some make Chief Minister of Karnataka after party gives Yedurappa exit.

Though he is one of the worst performing ministers in the cabinet his 'Chowkidhari' doesn't seems to be working against him. I think it is good to move as a party if they are seriously considered 'development' in the interest of the nation.

Well, it was like watching a car accident when both him and Kateel were on a roll at different occasions. Kateel forgot that Mahatma Gandhi was a Gujju and reinventing history has always hurt people.
Modi has just made it count and BJP better groom the next candidate to take their place if Mangalore/Udupi has any ambitions of having their man/woman in any ministry in Delhi.
Shobha's best bet to meet her ministerial ambition is if she stays far away from BSY and those romantic KJP history.

The best decision taken by PM Modi to keep this divisive hated filled person out. I wish Giriraj Singh was also kept out. Keeping out cancerous persons like Hegde out will help heal wounds of hate among communities

PM Modi and Amith Shah have wisely selected the team.
Those who did not perform upto the expectations were dropped.
And those who can not control their tongue with outbursts of controversial statements were also not included.
