Bengaluru: Monsoon season predicted to begin on June 6 in Karnataka

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 1: The central meteorological department has said that it expects monsoon to enter Kerala and Karnataka on the same day, June 6.

It also expected the rainfall to be normal this time with south India expected to get 97 percent of its normal rainfall. The report was released on Friday May 31.

The monsoon season will be on from June to September end. The department said that there are changes of about eight percent variation in its prediction.

Scientist of Karnataka Sate Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre, Sunil Gavaskar, said that like in last year, monsoon might enter both Karnataka and Kerala on the same day. He pointed out that there have been several past instances in which monsoon season began in these two states on the same day.

In the meanwhile, the department said that several places in the state including the ones located in south interior Karnataka might receive rain with thunder.

Praying for the rain is ok.. but lets all do some ground level work..that is planting more and more trees, reducing concrete jungles, reducing usage of plactics, caustiously using the water. May be this little act can bring down the rain whic is the need of time and more over our farmers eyes are own out looking for the rain day after day.

We all need the rains as much as possible as city is and also other places are in bad shape. This situation is every year and no solution have been taken by the city. municipality, and other agencies. Conservation of rain water should be done right from the first rain falls but not when the dams, rivers and other sources of water get dry.

All the predictions of rains last month have gone wrong. I sincerely hope this one proves correct. As far as I am concerned and I am sure to many of us, it would be a very joyous occasion to receive the first rainfall of the season. It is nothing less than a festival.

Still jossey bab, it's too expensive.. One litre bottle is not sufficient.. In this hot weather, one litre gets emptied in one jadkaaa... Secondly but very important point is mineral water bottles come duplicate..Let's pray for rain and for fresh water 👍.
