Kasargod: Out of control car hits another - One dies, four injured

Kasargod, Jun 1: After a car went out of the control of its driver and hit another car, a young man lost his life. Four others were injured in this accident which happened on Saturday June 1 morning. The accident happened at around 1.30 am today.

The accident happened at Pallikare Poochakkad. The deceased has been identified as Ajmal Amrose (21), residing at Cherkala fifth mile in the district. Others in the car, Rashid, Amanulla, Juraid and Sahad suffered injuries. All of them have been admitted into a hospital at Mangaluru.

The Innova car which Ajmal was travelling in went out of control after which it hit a car that was parked by the roadside. After hitting the car, the Innova overturned, causing one death and injuries to four persons.

The mortal remains of the deceased were kept in the mortuary of the general hospital here. They will be released to the relatives after postmortem.

A case relating to the accident was registered in Bekal police station.

    Young lad of 21 years riding car with his friends and accident took place at 1.30 am.

    Do not understand, how come, at the age of 21, the young lad afford to drive a car and that too, driving a car at mid night. Speed thrills but thrill of speed, takes life too.

    RIP Ajmal. Wish a speedy recovery to those injured in this deadly accident. Speedy kills. Driving at 1.30 AM and hitting a parked vehicle on the roadside. Something wrong somewhere.

    There should all radars kept on Karsargod to Mangalore Airport roads .
    I have mentioned many times most cars with reg KL 14 & KL-60 drive rashly during night times & early morning dropping to airport or returning & most of the drivers a re young boys who drive rashly

    Who said liquor is not easily available in Kerala/ After the so-called liquor ban rather "arrack ban" in late 90s illegal liquor outlets are thriving in kerala and Kerala is the no.1 liquor consuming state.

    These KL14/13 vehicles driven by youngsters is a menace on Mangalore city roads displaying their arrogance of wealth of parents. This incident is the direct result of such behavior and now precious life is lost.
