Mangaluru, Jun 1: A jubilant Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dakshina Kannada district committee on Saturday June 1 celebrated the party's resounding victory in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, and the formation of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a second consecutive time.

BJP leaders and workers in the city gathered in front of the district BJP office here to celebrate the victory.

BJP district president Sanjeeva Mathandoor, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath and Mangaluru North MLA Bharath Shetty led a victory march from Town Hall to the BJP office near PVS circle.

Addressing the gathering, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, who won the Lok Sabha elections for the third time in a row, said "People have given a clear mandate in favour of Narendra Modi-led NDA. This proves that people are satisfied with the administration given by Modi and his team over the last five years.

"This time too, the union government will stand with the people by introducing various programmes and developmental projects which are essential to their welfare. Secondly, by electing me again, the people of Dakshina Kannada have shown their faith in me. I thank the citizens of this district and all the party workers who worked for my victory. I will continue to serve and will always work for the betterment of the district," he said.

Sanjeeva Mathandoor said, "This is a time to rejoice. Our hard work has paid off and we have won with a record majority in the district. We have succeeded in countering all allegations and false propaganda done by Congress and its allies. Day and night our party workers worked for the party's victory, and they especially succeeded in convincing people who were not traditionally supporting BJP. Narendra Modi is a universal leader and India needs his leadership. Knowing this, the people of India have chosen him as Prime Minister for a second time. We are grateful to all who dreamed of building a new India by strengthening the hands of Modi."

Hundreds of local BJP leaders, supporters and party workers participated in the victory march which passed through Clock Tower, Hampankatta, GHS road, Temple Square, Balaji Talkies, New Chitra Talkies, Alake, Durga Mahal, Ballalbhag, MG Road, and PVS circle. The participants chanted slogans praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, home minister Amith Shah and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

What a travesty? one of the worst MPs the district has seen is winning for a third consecutive time, that too when the evidence of his inefficiency is in front of the eyes of the general public in the form of non-completion of Thokkottu and pumpwell flyovers since the past 10 years.

Bjp has successfully divided the nation on communal lines and also captured all the major departments of the country including the ECI. It is sure that no other party will win, if they opposition does not unite and conduct nation-wide morcha for ballot paper voting.

The evidence of rigging is quite evident from the fact that the Congress and JD (S) have won more seats in local body elections, which was held just a week of Lok Sabha results.

Dear Mangaloreans, I understand that Congress or any other party may not favor or prioritize Hindutva......but i humbly request all the Hindus, please use your brains and ask yourself whether Hindutva is going to develop India....Look at your own elected representatives and start questioning them whether this victory celebrations is required ? Please try to understand that all this drama is at your own expense.....its all looted money my friends.....you are only paying for it.....you may enjoy the celebrations for a day or two..but think about what these politicians are doing after the celebrations....they are going to recover the money and lead a luxurious life at your expence....If BJP is the only hope for India, be it, but dont let them also fool you for next 70 years...demand for the quick changes and improvements my friends

Nalin may have won due to Modi wave. People wanted to see Modi as the PM of India. Who else should we vote for ? Some one like Mithun Rai? Or his boss RaGa, who chose to run away from Amethi and fight elections in Wayanad only due to its demography. We do not want such leaders who wet their Payjamas at the sight of danger.

i totally agree with you ....it is very well known that congress has looted India, developed India at a very slow pace, dynasty politics, minority appeasement, etc etc. Obviously they should have been fired long time back....its very clear that the best choice today is BJP...but what im observing is people are getting carried away and taken in for a ride just like any other political party......all that im asking all Indians is to be rational and dont get fooled by religious and sentimental things

When BJP celebrates Lok Sabha win with victory march of MP Nalin, the new reports of EVM Vote count mismatch In 370+ seats and EC refuses to explain. Of the 373 constituencies polled in the first four phases, there were surplus votes counted in over 220 of them – in the rest, vote deficits were recorded.

The new website has taken into account only the first four phases – the EC website clearly stated “Final Voter turnout of Phase 1,2,3 and 4 of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019”. Election Commission pulled down the votes polled data after the news website demanded answers.

Early on 27 May, The website had emailed the EC questions on the discrepancies in all 373 constituencies. An EC officer even contacted us saying that they will send a reply soon. By afternoon, on the same day, we found that the ticker mentioning “final voter turnout” mysteriously disappeared from the EC’s website results.nic.in. When they asked the EC why the ticker and the data have been removed from the website, there was no response.

    1. Why did the EC upload votes poll data as final data for the first four phases?
    2. Why did they remove the data?
    3. Why is the EC silent about these discrepancies, do they have something to hide?
    4. And last, what is causing these significant discrepancies... are EVMs malfunctioning?

In several Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, thousands of votes were recorded to have been counted in excess of the total votes cast, and in a few cases, counted votes were substantially less than votes cast. These constituencies include at least three high-profile ones -- Patna Sahib, Jehanabad and Begusarai.
Will Election Commission explains to the nation Phantom Votes?
    Jai Hind
