Mangalore: Misbehaviour, Assault on Beach - Kerala Policemen Released on Bail

Mangalore, Apr 29: The personnel of Kerala State Armed Reserve Police, who had been arrested for misbehaving with others and creating a scene at Panambur Beach on Saturday April 25, and were remanded to judicial custody thereafter, have succeeded in getting bail. They secured bail from the second court of the Junior Magistrate (First Class) here on Tuesday April 28 and got released from incarceration.
They were released on the condition that they should present themselves whenever requisitioned by investigating officers to help investigations and that they should not create any problems for the eye witnesses. All the 11 accused were released on a personal bond of Rs 5,000 each by judge K S Vijaya.
It may be recalled, that a few members of the Kerala police contingent that had been deputed to attend to election duty at Bantwal, had arrived at Panambur Beach on Saturday evening, where they allegedly misbehaved and assaulted some members of the general public and the policemen of Panambur police station.
In the meantime, Kerala Inspector General of Police Krishnamurthy arrived in the city on Tuesday and inspected the spot in Panambur beach where the policemen allegedly got into trouble.
