Mangalore: New Building of Sanidhya school for Special Needs Inaugurated

Mangalore, May 2: The new building of Sanidhya residential school and Sanidhya Samartha Kendra promoted by Ganesha Seva Trust for people of special needs was inaugurated at Shatkthinagar on Saturday, May 2.
Former union minister B Janaradana Poojary inaugurated the building with Philanthropist, NRI entrepenuer Padmashree Dr B R Shetty and other guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Janardana Poojary said that we have learnt to work for the poor people from great personalities like Mother Theresa. We cannot compare ourselves with them. But by following their example, we can also lead a life of service. Service to society is the only thing that will be recognized by everyone in our short span of life, he said.
B R Shetty speaking on the occasion said, working for the physically challenged children’s development is really work of God. He wished all the success to the school and prayed that the school may help to bring light to more and more of these children.
MLA Yogish Bhat assured that he would do his best to get government aid in the form of staff salaries and other benefits.
K Prakash Shetty, businessman and the chairman of Goldfinch group of hotels, Devadasa Rai, businessman from Bangalore also spoke on the occasion.
Sanjay Deexith from MRPL Corporate division and Lexmi Kumaran, DGM, MRPL corporate communication handed over the key of the school van provided by the MRPL. Mayor Shankar Bhat, former Deputy Mayor Shakila Kava and local corporator Mariyamma Thomas were also present.
Vasanth Kumar Shetty, Secretary of the Ganesha Seva Trust introduced the school and Mahabala Marla, President of trust welcomed the gathering.
