SSLC Toppers : Mahima Shenoy in Udupi, Rukmini Prabhu in Mangalore

Mangalore, May 3: Mahima Shenoy, a student of Manipal Pre-University College and Rukmini Prabhu, a student of SVS Vidyagiri English Medium School Bantwal have secured first place in the SSLC examination in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts respectively.
Mahima, daughter of P Harindranath Shenoy and Maya H Shenoy, residents of Bannaje Hirabhag has passed with 97.92 per cent. She has scored 612 marks out of 625. She secured 124 marks in Sanskrit, 98 in English, 99 in Kannada, 96 in Mathematics, 98 in science, 97 in social science.
Mahima opted for commerce stream to reach her ambition to become a charted accountant. Her father is working as financial advisor in Mangalore.

Rikmini Prabhu, daughter of Dr Maya M Prabhu and charted accountant late Madhava Prabhu of BC Road, has passed with 98.24 per cent securing 614 marks.
Sharing her happiness with the media, she said that she would like to be a doctor like her mother. ‘I prepared just three months before the commencement of the examination. Even in the preparatory examinations I got the same marks. I am interested in sports, quiz, dance and other extra curriculum activities. The support of my teachers and my mother is the reason for my success, she said.
Vidhyashree Prabhu and Raghavendra Nayak, students of Canara English Medium High School Urva and Deepali, a student of Dongarakeri Canara Girls High School shared the second place in Dakshina Kannada district securing 612 marks each.
Varsha Rao, a student of Bhuvanendra High School, Karkala and Sri Raksha, a student of Sri Venkataramana English Medium High School, Kundapura shared second place in Udupi district securing 610 marks each.
