Mangalore: 'Amchi Balam Rangal Fulam' - Children's Show at Kalaangann

Mangalore, May 3: Mandd Sobhan, the premier organization striving to promote Konkani and it’s culture world-wide, staged a eighty ninth monthly theater, ‘Amchi Balam Rangal Fulam’, at Florine and Ronald Mendonca amphitheater, Kalangann, here on Sunday. 

It was a cultural extravaganza staged exclusively by residential camp participants.  A residential camp for the students of Class VII to Class X was held from Saturday April 25 to May 3 here.  In all 58 students including 18 from Mumbai and 40 from across the dioceses, participated in the camp.   

Globe Travels promoter William D’Souza and Leo Fernandes Mumbai, presented the certificates to all the participants of the camp, on the occasin.



































 

The camp participants from Mumbai staged a variety in the form of music, skit and mimicry.  They also staged a folk dance and a Konkani skit ‘Simh Jalem Gadavn’, wrottem by Rony Crasta, Kelarai.   

The diocesan camp participants staged  Dekhni dance, similar to Goan folk dance and a Konkani skit ‘Bangaracho Gol’ written by John M Permannur.  

Mandd Sobhann Gurkar Eric Ozario and President Luvi Pinto were present at the dais.  

The amphitheater was full as theatre enthusiasts attended the programme in large numbers.

Joyson Farla and Fiona Puttur compered the programme.  Mandd Sobhann vice president Arunraj Rodrigues proposed the vote of thanks.
