Bangalore: Sarvotham Shetty Receives Aryabhata International Award

Bangalore - May 4: Sarvotham Shetty, prominent Indian from United Arab Emirates and well known philanthropist received the coveted “Aryabhata International Award” at the 34th Annual Aryabhata International Award Ceremony held at Ravindra Kalakshetra, Bangalore on 29 April 2009.
Shetty received this award for his excellent contribution and service in the field of Social Service.
The glittering ceremony was attended by dignatories and prominent personalities from all over Bangalore and other parts of Karnataka. The function was inaugurated by Justice Dr. Shivaraj V. Patil, Retired Judge of the Supreme Court of India. The Chief guests of the evening were Lt.Gen.G.S.Dillon, Commandent, A.S.C Centre of College, Bangalore, Dr.Jayamala, President, Karnataka State Film Society, Dr.Mahesh Joshi, Sr.Director, Bangalore Dooradarshan and Sri Vishweshwara Bhat, Chief Editor, Vijaya Karnataka.
The award ceremony was Presided by Prof.H L N Rao, Founder, Aryabhata Cultural Organisation, Bangalore
Along with Sarvotham two other NRI’s namely Dr.Marthand S.Joshi from Australia and Mr.Neeraj Patil from London were also felicitated and honoured for their achievements.
In his communiqué with Daijiworld Shetty was humble enough to thank his family, friends and well wishers for their support and blessings received all these years and attributed his success to the entire community irrespective of caste and creed.
Shetty rightly deserves this award for his tireless work towards the society and it is well known that through his help and social work hundreds of people have benefited and he has managed to gain numerous admirers.
