Dubai: Children Benefited from Ferrarites' Voice Workshop

Dubai, May 8, 2009: The Vocal Touch, A voice workshop for children was organized by the Ferarites on Friday May 8th at the Coconut UG Auditorium, Karama Hotel, Dubai. Around 60 children participated in this workshop.
The programme began sharp at 12:30 pm by the compere of days’ event Sandhya Ramachandran, RJ Radio Spice 105.4 FM welcoming the children and guests and breaking the ice with spot games.
The first session of the workshop began with Jossie Moras, Voice Coach, Music Educator and Choral Director, enlightening the children about the basic necessities to be a singer. He informed the children about the Human Anatomy and the important part it plays while singing. He also demonstrated a few warm up exercises that must be done before singing and also mentioned the importance of breathing during singing.
The chief guests Lancy & Natalia Madtha of Intergrated Freight Logistics who are also main sponsors and back bone of this workshop then cut the cake sponsored by M/s Winny’s Restaurant in the presence of Herman Lewis, CEO of Radio Spice, Linus and Jessie Moras of Golden Talent Music Centre, Joseph Mathias, MD of Merit Freight & Logistic LLC and Jossie Moras, Voice coach.
This was followed by felicitation ceremony. Mrs and Mr Lancy Madtha, Mrs & Mr Linus Moras, Herman Lewis, Jossie Moras, Kethan D'Souza, Jude Fernandes, Violet Pereira , Joseph Mathias and Santhosh Nazereth, President of Mangalore Konkans , Randeep of Karama Hotel were also felicitated and presented with flowers as token of appreciation.
Vincent Pereira, the dynamic president of the Ferarites, then thanked all the patrons, sponsors and well wishers for their support to the Ferarites in organizing this event and sought their support for future programmes as well. He thanked all media sponsors for reaching the message of this voice workshop to all communities. This was followed by a speech from Lancy Madtha, who encouraged more and more children to take part and reap the benefits of these kind of workshops organized by Ferarites from time to tiem. He affirmed his full support in venturing such events he said. Herman Lewis in his speech announced that talented children would be given an opportunity to perform on Radio Spice. Jessie Moras congratulated the participants for their beautiful singing.
Natalia Madtha then felicitated Sandhya RJ of Radiospice for beautifully compeering the event.
Pearl Fernandes, core committee member proposed vote of thanks and thanked every one for making this workshop a success.
The post lunch session began with Jossie Moras imparting the importance of preparation for a stage performance and choosing the right songs. He also had some exercises in pitch training and proper pronunciation. There were also a few performances from some of the participating children. At the end there was a question-and-answer session where Jossie Moras cleared the doubts of the participants.
The programme was enjoyed by all the participants by asking the question when the next workshop would be held.
