Abu Dhabi: Mangalorean Day Already a Sell Out Show as the Countdown Begins...

Abu Dhabi, May 14:  Stage is set for K.C.O.’s Double Treat  namely, their Annual Extravaganza the “Mangalorean Day 2009” combined with their 15th Anniversary.
 
All the artistes have arrived from Kuwait and Mangalore, latest being Leslie Rego, the Master Compere who arrived early this morning from Mangalore.  Adrian Gomes and Rony D’cunha arrived in Dubai earlier from Kuwait.   K.C.O. is all set as the countdown begins for the spectacular variety entertainment show casing the talents from Mangalore/Kuwait and UAE.

Well before the countdown for K.C.O.’s “Mangalorean Day 2009” began, the entry coupons for the mega show have been sold out.  It is for the first time K.C.O. has witnessed such kind of enthusiasm from its well wishers and fans, longing for quality and well organized shows in Abu Dhabi, which they only can deliver and Friday 15th May will surely  be a  memorable day for KCO as well as the Abu Dhabi and UAE’s Konkani lovers at the new State of Art  ISCC auditorium.

“We feel gratified and overwhelmed  by the response we have received from the general public and also feel sorry for the people who will be missing this great entertainment” said Leo Rodrigues President of K.C.O. ,  speaking to Daijiworld, visibly  overjoyed at the response received for their annual event. “We never anticipated this kind of response from the Konkani lovers.  We cannot accommodate more people due to technical reasons.  We had to stop issuing entry coupons on Sunday itself – that is,  much much earlier as we did not want the auditorium to be overcrowded and encounter inconvenience to the audience. ”  he said.  

Incidentally, K.C.O. is celebrating its 15th Anniversary this year, which will also add glamour to the occasion.

As announced earlier the “Mangalorean Day” will feature Mangalore’s  top singers – Wilson Olivera, Anita Samson, Rony D’Cunha, accompanied by Music Maestro Adrian Gomes who will render his unique style of Music.   The event also will feature ace comedians Melwin D’Almeida, Valerian Richard Sequiera, Jerome Moras  of Me-Mo-Ri fame, who will take the audience to the world of laughter with their rib-tickling comedies specially prepared for Abu Dhabi audience.

Apart from above UAE’s top dance troupe “Ocean Kids” will set the stage on fire with their incredible scintillating dances.   K.C.O. promises loads of prizes and surprises, with lucky draw, spot prizes, novelty dance etc.  It will surely be a audio visual treat on the imposing stage at the ISCC premises.



Meanwhile the artistes arrived from Mangalore this afternoon.  Wilson Olivera, Anita Samson and the Me-Mo-Ri troupe arrived at Abu Dhabi Airport and were met by K.C.O. Office Bearers lead by their president Leo Rodrigues .  The singers and Comedians have promised to give their best and will turn the the event to be a day to remember.  Ronald D’cunha and Adrian Gomes will arrive from Kuwait on Wednesday 13 May at Dubai  Airport and Ace Compere  Leslie Rego will also arrive directly to Dubai from Mangalore on the same day.

KCO Members are putting in lot of effort and energy to make their 15th Anniversary Mangalorean Day a memorable one.
