Doha : Ronald Colaco to be Chief Guest at MCA First Anniversary Event

Doha, May 13: Philanthropist and entrepreneur from Bangalore, Ronald Colaco, who is also the founder of the Federation of Christian Associations in Karnataka, will be the chief guest at the first anniversary event of Mangalore Cultural Association Doha Qatar, scheduled to be organized on Friday May 15, 2009.

Colaco has been instrumental in organizing taluk level Christain Federations all over the state, has already set up over 30 units around the state so far, towards strengthening the units of Christian associations of all sects.

He will be present at the event along with his wife, Jean Colaco.

Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld.com will be the guest of honour, and he will travel from Dubai to participate in the event.

The event will feature Konkani's record-breaking play by Comedy King 'Mhataro Chorbela's 34th show. The play has broken previous record of 33 shows. The entire troupe pertaining to this play, based in Mumbai, will travel to Doha to perform here. Incidentally, this will be the first ever full-fledged Konkani play to be staged in the history of Doha. 

Well-known compere Aloysius D'Souza has already flown in from Mangalore to compere the event.

 

Gulf Voice of Mangalore second runner-up Roshan D'Souza will perform along with his co-artistes, to present foot tapping all time Konkani Hits of "Konkan Kogul" Wilfy Rebimbus.

The organization MCA, within a year of its inception, has initiated a corpus fund for the orpahanges in Mangalore and as a first step, it has donated Rs 5 Lac to various orphanages through the Bishop of Mangalore.

Venue: On 15th May 2009, at 5.30 p.m. sharp at Doha Cinema.

Price of the ticket is  QR 50/- and QR 30/- and the entire proceeds raised from this event will help MCA to continue to fulfill its main objective, which has been to provide education to the poorest of the poor and orphaned children in Mangalore.

Transport will be arranged from/to Industrial Area – Doha Cinema; Pick up time 4.30 pm from Alatiya Market.
