The year 2008 – 2009 was one of the most treasured times in my life. I had rare privilege to lead a great organization in Muscat with marvelous utive team. MCCP has moved to an elegant position exhibiting massive talents of the members and a great Mangalorean Spirit and Unity. I must thank all my friends and Mangaloreans in Oman on this occasion for their support, blessings and help. When we, the utive committee members, commenced the year 2008 - 2009, had an immense desire to accomplish the task given to us and when we completed this year with unified efforts and tremendous support from all the members, we had enormous satisfaction.

That was a great feeling of fulfillment. Surely, it was due to the incredible team efforts demonstrated by all of us to run the race from a milestone of desire to the end point of satisfaction.....and surely the support and cooperation extended by each and every member of the Mangalorean Community in Muscat.

Thank you one and all. Personally, I am grateful to Samuel, Nimmy, Victoria (Billa), Arun, Alex, Donald, Dolly, Hazel, Sunil, Hilda Fernandes and Hubert for their wonderful support to MCCP and to me. All of them are amazing people with great spirit of team work.

I take this opportunity specially to thank Gerry D Mello, man of great values and enormous talents.

With his passion to the Motherland, he instilled momentum of Konkani tradition and culture into MCCP activities. Honestly, many a times he is an inspiration to my thoughts and works. He has always supported the cause of MCCP and motivated me to do better and work strongly. Whole Mangalorean community in Muscat should be grateful to him. Thank you Gerry. I want to thank my beloved wife, Jane Ida, a passionate singer and ardent supporter to my service to the society without her support I could not have done so much to MCCP.

Thank you Ida. I also thank my darling children Alistair and Amanda for their great and valuable encouragement to me all the time. I also express my gratitude to Fr. Albert D Silva, our Mangalorean priest with a beautiful smile, for his constant advice and support. Special thanks to Stanley Fernandes (Dattu) and Apolinaris D Souza for their continued assistance during the year. I take this opportunity to wish every success to the new president of MCCP, Suraj Rebello, enthusiastic social activist, great sports person and above all, a genuine human being. I am sure he will do great job for MCCP with his new versatile team. Clarence Pinto

As one of the founder members of MCCP Muscat being involved actively with activities from its inception until my departure from Muscat in the year 2006, without any hesitation I can proudly say that the year 2008-2009 was one of the best year in the whole history of MCCP. Kudos to the outgoing utive Committee members under the dynamic leadership of Clarence Pinto Kaikamba - a genius personality, for organizing events like ‘Gulf Voice of Mangalore’ (GVOM) in Muscat, ‘Taste the Toast’ (TTT) for budding orators, ‘Its my Voice’ to promote Voice Culture and Inter-Parish Bible Quiz introduced this year under the theme “"Yuvozonn Amchem Bhavish" (Youth Our Future)”.

Hats off to the amazing leader Clarence Kaikamba who is not only the fountain of innovative idea but also a true ‘Konkani Suputr’. Whatever the success this committee has achieved is nothing but the result of their team-work, sheer hard-work, dedication and selfless commitment for the community. I am sure the Mangalorean Community in Muscat will remain ever grateful to this ‘Amazing Team’ for taking MCCP to greater heights. At this occasion, I wish to congratulate Suraj Rebello, the newly elected President of MCCP and his enthusiastic and talented team including the Vice-Presidents Prescilla Machado and Monica Dantis who received the baton from Clarence.

Suraj is a highly talented personality filled with an enormous level of sporty energy and is the darling of the Mangalorean Community in Muscat for the past two decades. He has immeasurably contributed not only to the Mangalorean Community but also to the Ruwi and Ghala Parishes at large. Undoubtedly, he is the perfect choice to lead MCCP. Surely, MCCP will look forward to yet another great year under the new utive Committee. My family joins me in wishing Suraj Rebello and his excellent team the very best and we hope that it will be another Golden Year for MCCP! …..Thathasthu!
