Mangalore, May 20:  Bishop of Mangalore Dr Aloysius D'Souza ordained four carmelite deacons as priests during the ordination ceremony held on May 19, 2009 at Infant Jesus Church Bikkarnakatta.   

The newly ordained priests are (1) Fr Sunil Arthur Monis, son of Pius and Rita Monis, Our Lady of Health parish, Shirva, (2) Fr Robert Ivan D'Souza, son of Albert D'Souza and Juliana D'Souza, St Lawrence parish, Bondel, (3) Fr Steven Alwyn Pereira, son of Marcel and Sevrene Pereira, Virgin of the Poor parish, Uppinangady and (4) Fr Ronald Manoj Sequeira, Infant Jesus Church parish, Vamadapadav.





























The parish priests of the newly ordained priests were present on the occasion. Fr Richard Coelho, Shirva, Fr Antony Serrao, Bondel,  Fr Abel Lobo, Vamadapadav ,Fr John Vaz, Uppinangady, Fr Victor Machado, Rector of St Joseph Seminary and other priests and nuns were present to witness the ceremony.

The families, relatives and friends of the deacons were also present to witness the transformation of these human beings into heavenly beings.

The liturgy of the ceremony was systematically carried out by Fr Rudolf Pinto. Thereafter, the introduction and wishing ceremony was carried out by Fr Nelson Pinto in a jovial way.
