Beltangady: Voters Supported BJP in Protest against Religious Conversions: DVS

Beltangady, May 30: State BJP president and Udupi-Chikmagalur MP D V Sadanand Gowda expressed the opinion that the people have overwhelmingly supported the BJP in an expression of solidarity against religious conversions. "The people are not in need of an administration that follows pub culture. Those who led a malicious propaganda against the BJP, even though it had no role in the attacks on churches, have been given a thorough drubbing," he added.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion of the a programme organized at Kinyamma Yane Gunavatiamma Hall of Guruvayankere as part of the victory rally of the BJP and thanksgiving to the party activists on Friday May 29, Gowda said the BJP is not shaken by the setback the NDA has suffered. "We will ably and affectively fight step-motherly treatment if any of the union government," he said. He also requested the newly inducted union ministers from the state, to extend support to the state government in the matter of development. He reiterated that the state government does not believe in politics of friction.
Dakshina Kannada MP Nalinkumar Kateel in his address said that the protection of Hindutva and development of the district are the only agendas he would be working for. "I will be indulging in politics in such a way that my voters do not get cheated," he clarified.
BJP district president Monappa Bhandary presided. Former minister Gangadhar Gowda, former MLA Prabhakar Bangera, BJP state council member Nimiraj Shetty, district BJP former president Pratapsimha Nayak, general secretary Prasad Kumar and various other leaders were present.
Zilla panchayat member Sundar Salian in his address, paid tributes to the party workers for making the victory possible. Taluk BJP president Kushalappa Gowda welcomed. Srinivas Rao presented the programme.
