Mangalore, Jun 3:  World of Titan, located at Deepa Plaza, M G Road, organized a function at its premises on Wednesday June 3, to celebrate successful completion of one year. City mayor Shankar Bhat inaugurated the anniversary celebrations by cutting the cake. Former city mayor Shashidhar Hegde, Krishnamurthy, State Bank of India chief manager C M Tallur, Titan Industries area manager Krishnamurthy, franchisees Gladys Rebello and Ronald Rebello, showroom staff, officials and other dignitaries were present.

Ronald Rebello delivered the welcome address. He also explained the salient features of the anniversary celebrations which include 20% discount on ladies watches that covers Raaga Diva range of watches, free gifts on every purchase, chance to participate in treasure hunt and make a wish contests.

On the occasion, students from the city who have topped in SSLC and PUC examinations, were honoured. SSLC toppers Vidyashree, Raghavendra Nayak, Deepali and Sneha from Canara High School, Andrea Preethi Sequiera of Victoria High School Urwa and Vikas  Jairaj of St Aloysius High School were honoured. Anup Shenoy of St Aloysius PU College, Aysha of St Agnes, Priya Yogish Kunder of Besant and Nikitha Pandurang Prabhu of Canara PU College who scored high marks in PU examinations, were also felicitated by presenting mementoes to them.



































In his address, mayor Shankar Bhat said that Titan, a Tata company, has been giving very good service to its customers since long. By bringing the show room to the city, the owners have contributed to the development of the city. "I have been a customer of Titan since the last ten years and am satisfied with their services,” he said and expressed his happiness at the fact the franchisees, who were NRIs, have chosen to contribute to the progress of the city through this concern.

Former mayor Shashidhar Hegde said, that the Rebello couple, who were non-residents, wanted to do something for their city and because of this concern, opened this shop in the city. He also thanked them for encouraging the students of the city who have scored high marks in the SSLC and PU examinations.

State Bank of India Mangalore branch chief manager C M Tallur congratulated the World of Titan on the completion of one year of successful operations. He congratulated the franchisees for deciding to invest in the city and appreciated the efficient services and good products being offered by Titan.

Nagesh Nayak compered the programme. Ronald's parents Xavier and Catherine Rebello were also present.
