The District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) police on Wednesday June 3 were successful in nabbing both of the accused in the murder of Fayaz whose body was found near the railway goods shed.

Fayaz’s body was found on Tuesday June 2 with his head hammered in with heavy stones.
 


Pandeshwar police had registered a case in this regard and initiated the probe.

Thirty-year-old Fayaz alias Khader was the son of Cheyyabba, resident of Jayanagar, Jalligudde, Bajal, here.  He is the father of five children with a sixth on the way. Fayaz’s father passed away just a month ago, informed police sources. 
 
DCIB policemen led by sub -nspector Venkatesh Prasanna managed to arrest 24-year-old Mustafa alias Sharief alias Rauf, son of Ibrahim, residing at Hosagaddemane, Perne, Uppinangady, and 20-year-old Faizal, son of Hasanabba, residing at Maindalamane, Bantwal, on Wednesday night.
 


The deceased had allegedly assaulted Mustafa six months ago over a minor issue and the latter sustained wounds below his eyes and was treated locally. 

Fayaz had returned here on Thursday after serving a six month sentence in Kannur central jail, Kerala, as he was booked in a theft case there. 

Both Mustafa and Faizal met Fayaz at Central Market here on Tuesday night and all three of them consumed alcohol at Reshma Bar here following which they took Fayaz near the goods shed and killed him by stabbing him with a tester and hitting his head with big stones. 
 
DCIB policemen arrested both the accused from Bunder locality on Wednesday night handed them over to the custody of Pandeshwar police here. 
 
The arrests were carried out under the directions of Western Range IGP Gopal Hosur, superintendent of police Subramanyeshwar Rao and additional superintendent of police Dilip R. 

Assistant sub-inspector Narayan Maniyani, policemen Narendra, Santosh Padil, Kumara, Dinesh Bekal, Prashant, Shashidar Shetty, Chetan Botyady, Ganesh Kalladka, Dharmendra, Shanta Shetty and Devayya, were involved in this operation.
