Mangaluru, Jul 26: After a brief respite from rain on Thursday, the city is experiencing heavy battering of the rain since the early morning of Friday, July 26.

Many parts of the city are experiencing water flooding and water logging issues. The area around the Central railway station looks like a pond. It is virtually impossible to reach the railways station as the area around it is completely flooded. School and college students who arrive to the city from Kasargod, Udupi, Puttur and other areas by train had to wade through knee-deep water to reach their respective institutions.

Passengers arriving from other destinations and going to other parts of the state and country are having a torrid time as they are unable to get into and come out of the railway station.

It may be recalled that the same inundation problem of area around railway station, including the platform had occurred a week ago due to heavy rains.
