Mangaluru, Jul 26: During the marriage ceremony organized at a private hall, Hampankatta in the city on Wednesday July 24, two and half sovereigns of gold ornaments were stolen. A complaint about it was registered in Pandeshwar police station here.

When the ceremony was in progress, a burqa-clad woman led a two-year-old child that was in the marriage hall, away. After reliving the child of a neck chain weighting one and half sovereigns and bangle weighing one sovereign of gold, the woman escaped. The value of stolen items has been put at Rs 49,000.

The theft being committed as above was recorded by CCTV cameras inside the hall. The police have collected the footage. The video footage of the said theft also was shared extensively in social websites.

A case about this theft was registered in Pandeshwar police station.

Any issue, people bring in religion and politics there. In my opinion we should keep an eye on our belongings and children wherever we go. And if we have make them wear valuable ornaments, we should be double alert. Its not only we may lose the ornament but who knows we may put our children's life in danger. Such is the situation now in our society. We must be alert.

The theft is public places or marriage functions is common regardless of religions. The main problem is the misuse of 'Burqa or cloak' which used in Islam. The Quran does not address women first. It addresses men first. That’s not a typo. Islam places the primary responsibility of observing hijab not on women – but on men. It’s critical to understand this point.
People often conflate “hijab” and “headscarf”. Wearing the headscarf is one form of hijab, but men often forget that hijab is much more. And at the genesis of the hijab discussion, the Quran commands men to not stare at women and to not be promiscuous. Quran 24:31 obliges men to observe modesty: “Say to the believing men that they restrain their eyes and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Surely, Allah is well aware of what they do.”
This verse rebukes forced laws on women that claim “women must cover otherwise men are distracted”. It destroys rape culture because it commands men to reform themselves first and exclusively. It demolishes complaints that what a woman is wearing is “too provocative”, whatever that means because it flat out forbids men from gawking at women.
Islam says he must observe hijab. The Prophet Muhammad’s directives further affirm this view. He admonished men, “Be chaste yourselves, and women will be chaste as well,” again putting the primary burden of hijab on men.
We were living in a society were children's to modestly dressed women are raped. Hijab is a critically important Islamic teaching. No one denies this. But it seems to me that too many men forget it applies to us first. Let’s stop obsessing over women, and worry about reforming ourselves first. That apparently novel idea is indeed the true jihad and true meaning of hijab.

Noone is going to scholar unless he reads the book with true meaning understands the subject. There should be strict protocol on the guest being invited for such functions. The women section need some guards to avoid such circumstances.

Many in the forum write as if they are a scholar of a particular religion. But none has read the book and understood the meaning.
It is my duty to bring the right message to the citizens of India.

If you read the constitution, various fundamental rights are provided as well as guaranteed by our Indian Constitution under Part III. Amongst them, freedom of religion is also the one provided which is given under Article 25-28 of the Indian Constitution. India, being a secular nation gives every citizen the right to follow the religion he believes in.

It is mentioned in the Rig Veda Book no. 8 Hymn no. 33 V. no. 19
“When Brahma has made you a woman, you should lower your gaze and should not look up. You should put your feet together and you should not reveal what the garment and the veil conceals.”

So the Rig Veda says that the woman should wear the veil.
They should lower their gaze and should not stare.

It is further mentioned in the Mahavir Charitra Act 2 Page 71 that
When Purshuram comes, Rama tells his wife Sita that “He is our elder, please lower your gaze, and put on the veil. “

Rama tells his wife Sita to put on the veil and to lower her gaze.

To protect the chastity of women it is also mentioned in other religion as well.

Come out of your illusion man, society is troubled by men who are taking advantage of a Burkha. They don't go to places attended by their women only. Read below, what a commentator experienced in a bus - that bus was not going to an Islamic shrine - that bus was a public's traveling mode.

India is a home to multi-religions, it's not 'my community' 'your community' separate living arrangement !

Sunil kumar mangalore,definately it is a many.When you look at the figur,women have a different figur than a man.Here the person seems to be a taller person with thin legs,and wearing pant.Women have different figur,whatever or whoever it is,where were the parents of the child?what were they doing?or the child knew the person to go to toilet?auasually children dont go with unknown persons.very scarry.Tomorrow one may simply abduct the child without parents knowledge.Second,why should a child be loaded with so much gold?It doesnt know to take care of it ,or value of it .was this person caught or was out of sight.criminality in mangalore has gone worst than in Mumbai.God save us.

Exactly Sanjay.... They are not ladies... I too experienced the same in city bus no. 15....two hefty burkhadharis entered the bus in the peak hours of morning and blocked my movements. I could not hold my bag because of them. I was thinking in my mind Why these ladies act this way? I heard conductor was shouting from the back door. May be these men understood they got down... That time I saw my bag to give money to the conductor purse was open... When I raised alarm they already got down and threw back one hundred rupee note and one ten rupee note back at me and started shouting in a squeaky tone saying I have no other money... See (kindri swara).. Then some lady passengers were saying they are men and keep entering different different buses. I said why you all kept quiet when you knew that?? People never speak....later conductor said, I was shouting at from the back door you never look at me. Because I got doubt on these burkhadaris...that time I realised all burkhadaris are not ladies!

I don't blame these men, my total anger is at our women who submit to wearing Burkha because their men want them to. Don't these ladies have any spine ? Even in Islamic countries ladies wear full-cover-clothing but it separates their neck from head-wear. They cover their head with a different garment and keep their face open, they don't cover head-to-toe.

Common ladies, wake up. The very men who are making you to wear head-to-toe are taking advantage of it and blame is come on you women.

Historically people in India never commit crime even though there is job or not they still survived eating two times or one time feeding minimal with whatever vegetables and paddy, poultry they have developed working hard.
