Bengaluru: ED custody of IMA Ponzi scheme accused Mansoor Khan extended

Bengaluru, Jul 27: A court here has ordered extension of the custody of IMA scam accused Mansoor Khan with the Enforcement Directorate till August 1.

As his custody period ended, the Enforcement Directorate officials produced Khan before the first sessions court here on Friday July 26. During the arguments, the advocate representing Enforcement Directorate said that the officials could not properly interrogate Khan as he has been suffering from bouts of illness. They also pointed out that the process of forfeiture of some properties and assets is pending and hence sought extension of Khan's custody.

The court which upheld these arguments, handed him over to the Enforcement Directorate custody for five days and posted the next hearing to August 1.

In the meantime, Bengaluru city district deputy commissioner, Vijay Shankar, who has been accused of accepting bribe of Rs 1.5 crore from Mansoor Khan, was granted conditional bail on Friday. It is said that the official had demanded and collected the said bribe to file false report that IMA company was not involved in any irregularities. He had been arrested by the special investigation team and the court had remanded him to judicial custody on July 13.

    Due to 36% return...many people told in some homes...they first invested 30 lakhs....latter on 20 lakhs....afterwards they sold there land and invested around 70 lakhs. Person who told informs ab gharmein dava-daru karne vaaste paise nahin hai. Bahut buree halaat ho gayee. Some womens even invested money which remitted by there family members from gulf after neighbour's intervention and lost all. After all these family members pai pai jaama karkar used facility available of bhatkali people thru Hundi....where in it reach direct reach home and there women flock cannot venture out unnecessarily during there absence.

    It's ok. When he his going to return money of poor people which he taken by ensuring halala scheme. Did he utter people's names ministers to whom he had handed over money of poor people to run his business and to stand for election simultaneously. How other's will celebrate Bakri Eid. Any idea.

    Not everyone will get money back....thats the reality of ponzi schemes....Agri gold, RMP, icds, Maha apex...etc even in such cases investors never got money back... people should not invest money in greed of higher interest, always its safe to deposit it in postal or nationalised bank, even if they pay a little kess less interest, at least its safe....
