Mangaluru, Jul 27: Former minister and Congress leader Ramanath Rai said, "Elected representatives of the district are inactive and have failed to address the problems faced due to spreading of dengue.”

Addressing media here on Saturday, July 27, Ramanath Rai said, "We condemn the attitude of the elected representatives of the district, as they were worried more about how to destabilize the government than being concerned about people suffering from dengue. Mangaluru has witnessed several dengue cases like never before and many are being treated for the same.

“Elected representatives are not bothered about people as they are enjoying in the resort thinking about how to destabilize the coalition government. It was easy for them to give directions only through phone to prevent dengue.

“Earlier, when BJP were ready to form the government, even though they did not have majority, they hoped to indulge in horse trading Congress and JD(S) leaders. It is not ‘Operation Kamala’, but ‘Horse Trade Operation Kamala’.

“The district administration is working hard and are being effective in tackling dengue,” he said.

Congress leaders Shashidhar Hegde, district Women’s Congress president Shalet Pinto and others were present.

Being minister for several years you are unable to provide basic facilities to bcroad. Still unable to walk freely at bcroad due to your negligence. No proper project implementation about the roads from bantwal to moodbidri or polali road. Congress rule was like we also take commission and others also take commission and only 20℅amount to project. Don't blame the MLA's. They are doing far more better work than you didn't do for several years

From day one everyone knew about Cong and JDs, unholy alliance. In the past 14 months, we saw a lot of infighting, resort running, Ministerial fights and huge dramas. People aren''t fools. If you cannot keep your flock together why blame others. Allow atleast someone to develop karnatka . For sure if ther is a re-election Cong-JDS will fare badly.
