He took almost 14 months to pull down the democratically elected government.
He knows he did a sin. So, there is no other option left for him but to go to the temple and beg for pardon.

Sri Siddalingeshwara Swamy a great revered Sharana Saint in the path of Lingayatha Shiva Sharana Parampare of diffusion of Thatva of Life called VACHANAS. He travelled far and wide preaching Sharana faith which is predominantly praying with ISHTA LINGA (atma linga) as envisaged by Basavanna, Allamaprabhu and a vast group of learned men and women from all walks of life (12th century in present-day Bijapur district).

When Basavanna being king has left everything, this God-fearing BS Yedurappa for the sake of chair is doing absolutely opposite buying opposition MLA's.
First of all Basavanna tried to change the concept of Temple which was the main center of various types of harassments. Priests and rich people were exploiting the common folk in the name of God and temple. Thus he tried to convince the society about the real god and temple, which are within and with us only. In one of his vachana, he says-

    Rich build temples for shiva
What can I a poor man do?
    My legs are the pillars
    My body is a temple
My head makes the golden cupola
    Oh, Lord kudala sangama
    The standing will perish
    The moving will stay on.

In Lingyat "This Very Body, The Temple".

CM elect is doing the right thing because only God's providence can save his chair and people of this state. It is nothing short of drama that's been going on in the state for some time.
