Udupi: Government employee attempts suicide near Gandhi statue

Udupi, Jul 29: A government employee tried to kill himself near the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Ajjarkad here on the evening of Sunday July 28. It is learnt that he works as surveyor at Handadi village, Brahmavar. 

In the slip of paper, he said he had volunteered to kill himself, having been fed up by the frustration at the office. He was admitted into the government hospital at Ajjarkadu by social worker, Vishu Shetty.

 

For advanced treatment, he was shifted to Manipal hospital later. It is learnt that his condition is serious.

    His uplines in the office should be arrested and enquired and punished. Now days upline people will harrase in govt offices.

    sad.we know nothing about the reason and shouldnt give him any remarks.Who knows may be other people are making his daily work impossible,less salary etc..Hope his condition will improve and get proper treatment and better conditions at work.Quite possible with his salary not possible to manage his house hold?

    Now a days to obtain government job is not an easy task. There are lot of competion around for one post. Some people for small salary hogging more than twelve hours to run there family. Here frustration is main reason behind this person and may be appointed thru one's imfluence and not on merit.
