Mangaluru, Jul 30: Several talents have emerged from the coastal region and achieved success in movie industries of other regions. A young and talented girl Tanuja Pawar, hailing from KIOCL-Kavoor in the city, is all set to make her mark in Sandalwood.
Tanuja Pawar is the daughter of Laxman Pawar and Sangeetha Pawar couple, who made her debut in Coastalwood with Katapadi Katappa, where she played a supporting character.
Tanuja acted in a Kannada and Tulu telefilm Leppugu ohh Kenoda, directed by Madhu Surathkal. Tanuja Pawar later went on to act in Kannada album song ‘I Love You Andhena', which will be released in five languages. Tanuja will now make her debut in Kannada movie ‘Story of Ranga Shankar’ directed by Shaan, where she plays a second lead.
Tanuja Pawar will also be seen in her second Sandalwood movie titled 'Rohitashwin' directed by Joseph Ninasam, which will be released soon.
Speaking to daijiworld Tanuja Pawar said, "I was a good dancer and had the craze of seeing myself in television. My parents did not want me to get distracted from my studies. On the other hand I was waiting for the auditions. That is when one of my freind Nithin Puthran recommended for a Kannada telefilm where I got selected in the audition. Later I was recommended to act in ‘Katapadi Kattappa’, ‘Story of Ranga Shankar’ and ‘Rohitashwin’, where I succeeded in getting selected through audition. The whole team of the projects in which I have worked with have been very supportive and learned many things during my shoot.
“'Ranga Shankar’ movie is a suspense thriller, where I play a chulbul flirty girl, while ‘Rohitashwin’ is a movie about dual character of a person,” said Tanuja Pawar.
When asked about her initial struggle, Tanuja Pawar said, "Bringing emotion to the character was a great challenge. Director of Rohtiashwin, Joseph Ninasam guided me to better my acting skills.”
"I had to go for a transformation for my character in Ranga Shankar, where I had to look chubby. My parents who practice yoga inspired me a lot. It is a therapy to look young and healthy,” said Tanuja Pawar.
Tanuja completed her BCom degree from Mahesh College of Commerce and Management, where she had won principal's excellence award. Now keeping her acting career aside, Tanuja wants to pursue MBA.
