Kasargod, Aug 1: It is suspected that Mohammed Muhasin, who was one of the 21 people who reportedly left to join ISIS in 2017, has died during a drone attack by the American forces.

The members of Mohammed have received a WhatsApp message about this death. The message says that Muhammed Muhasin died ten days back.

The police who looked into the matter have prima facie found the information to be true, sources said. Mohammed was studying in the final year engineering degree course in a college at Thrissur when he went away, informing his family that he was on a visit to Bengaluru.

As he disappeared thereafter, the family had filed police complaint. The police got information that he had flown abroad to join the terrorist organization.

The police are now planning to conduct another round of investigation to confirm the above death. In the past, a person named Murshid Muhammed from here had been killed in a similar attack.
