Kundapur, Aug 5: In an unfortunate incident, one of the two youths. who had gone to have bath in Gurunarasimha temple pond in Saligrama, near Kota, drowned on Monday, August 5.
Karkada resident Vinod Ganiga(28) is the deceased person.
While special pooja was held in the temple as part of Nagara Panchami, Vinod Ganiga had got down in the pond with his friend. Though both of them knew to swim, it is said that Vinod lost control. His friend reached the bank and raised an alarm for his friends. But Vinod had drowned by then.
Fire service personnel retrieved the body of Vinod.
Vinod was a bodybuilder.
Kota police have registered a case.
