Toronto: Konkani movie ‘Kantaar ‘receives overwhelming response in Canada

Toronto, Aug 5: Konkani movie Kantaar, starring Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff and multilingual actress from coastal Karnataka Ester Noronha, was screened successfully in Toronto, Canada on July 28. 

The movie which had several private screenings in Goa to house full audience has already been declared super hit Konkani movie of 2019. The movie will be officially released across multiplexes in Goa, Udupi and Mangaluru on August 9. 

 

The screening in Toronto was organised by G.O.A, headed by Selwyn Colaco, as part of the Viva Goa Festivities and was presided by lead actress Ester Noronha. “Thanks to all our sponsors and guests who went home mesmerized after watching an amazing well directed and produced movie," the organisers wrote on their official G.O.A social media handle on Facebook. 

The second screening of the movie in Toronto is already being scheduled due to the overwhelming response and many people requesting that they want to watch it again. The movie will be screened in Vancouver in September. Shows have been booked for UAE, UK and other countries too. Kantaar will be screened in Pune - JDV auditorium, Nagar Road on the 25 August at 3 pm, organised by the Konkani community, Pune.
