London, Jun 25: Legendary rock band Nirvana's frontman Kurt Cobain's bass guitar was sold at an auction in New York for 29,166 pounds.

The guitar was used to record his early demos, according to the authenticity certificate. It was among the highlights to go under the hammer at a Christie's pop and rock memorabilia sale, reported contactmusic.com.
