New Dehi, Aug 29: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) came down heavily on Pakistan for making false and fabricated statements on Jammu & Kashmir. MEA Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, ''We strongly condemn the recent statements by Pakistani leadership on matters internal to India. These are very irresponsible statements.''
As reported in ANI, Kumar said "These statements include references to Jihad & to incite violence in India. This is intended to project an alarmist situation which is far from ground reality. Pakistan needs to understand that the world has seen through their provocative rhetoric based on lies and deceit.

On the letter written by Pakistan Minister Shireen Mazari to the United Nations, Kumar said ''The letter is not even worth the paper on which it was written. Don’t want to give credence to it by reacting.''
''We are aware that Pakistan uses terror as state policy and each time we have made them aware of our concerns. We have received info that Pakistan is trying to infiltrate terrorists. We demand that Pakistan must act against the terror groups operating on its soil,'' Kumar added.
On reports coming in Media about shortage of medicines in Jammu & Kashmir, Kumar said " There was not even one incident where any hospital has reported shortage of drugs or of any disposable item. Not a single life has been lost, not a single bullet has been fired. There has been gradual but positive improvement in situation on ground''.
