Western Railway’s suburban Andheri station was closed from the eastern side on Thursday July 9, by the metropolitan police, in view of the heightened security worries. The traffic moving towards the entrance of Andheri railway station (East), including the public transport carrying daily commuters from the nearby Industrial estates faced lot of problems, as security was deployed along the main road.
Maharashtra Mobile Trade Association organized a huge rally against the hike in Value Added Tax (VAT) tariff, here on Thursday July 9. The protesters also filed their petition in this regard, with the VAT commissioner.
