Kasargod, Sep 21: Punjalkatte station police arrested a man on charges of posting nude pictures of a woman on social media.
The accused, identified as Manjeshwar resident Jeethesh Safalya was friendly with the woman for the last three years. He had come to her residence on May 8, 2018 when she was alone in the house and captured her nude pictures on his mobile phone. Later, as the family of the woman opposed her marriage with the accused, he posted her nude pictures on social media out of anger.
A case in this connection was registered at Punjalkatte police station on September 18 under section 354(D) 67(A) IT. Punjalkatte station PSI and staff gathered sufficient details of the accused and arrested him in Manjeshwar on September 19. He has been produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.
