Son unable to contact mother travelling on train, tweets Indian Railways for help

New Delhi, Oct 1: A Twitter user Sashwat's cry for help to the railways and their prompt response garnered a lot of attention.

On Monday, Sashwat wrote a tweet where he stated that he could not get in touch with his mother and wanted to know whether she was fine as the train she was travelling, the Ajmer–Sealdah Express was 12 hrs late. He went ahead and tagged the Union railway minister, Piyush Goyal and Ministry of Railways to help him reach out to his mother.

Responding to his tweet, the Indian Railways asked for the date and the station his mother boarded from.

No sooner, Sashwat uploaded another tweet thanking the railways for helping him as he was able to contact his mother. He also praised them for their prompt action.

The incident was tweeted by Indian Railways where they wrote, “Indian Railways care for its passengers: A son requested that he is unable to speak to his mother travelling by train, we promptly reached his mother and arranged a talk between the two.”

The Twitteratis have since then poured in praises for the Indian Railways.
