Yakshagana Kalapremi Sangh Organizes ‘Taalamaddale’ in Metro

The Yakshagana ‘Taalamaddale’ based on ‘Angada Sandani’ and ‘Magada Vade’, two mythological episodes, was held at Takoor Auditorium in Dombivli (East), recently. 

It was organized by the Yakshagana Kalapremi Sangh based in suburban Dombivli.  
 


Distinguished social worker Shekar R Shetty inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. 
 
Tonse Vittoba Kini and Ramesh Kukyan were the chief guests on the occasion.
 
Polya Laxminarayan Shetty was the ‘Bhagavat’ of the Yakshagana Taalamaddale and was assisted by Subraya Sampaje and Adoor Laxminarayan Rao on drums and ‘tabla’, as well as Varkady Ganesh Mayya on bongo.

Yakshagana artistes Shene Shyam Bhat, Radhakrishna Kalbar, Jabbar Samo, Sunnamabala Vishweshwar Bhat, Vasudev Ranga Bhat, and others enthralled the viewers with their performance.
 
Profesor Venkatesh Pai compered the programme.
