Billavar Association Aims to Empower Entire Community—Jaya Suvarna

The annual general body meeting of the metro-based Billavar Association was held at Sri Narayan Guru Auditorium of the Association at Santa Cruz (East) here on Sunday July 26.  The meeting was chaired by Association president Jaya C Suvarna.


 
Suvarna, in his presidential address, said, “The Billavar Association is moving with the times in inspiring the community youth to excel in their chosen careers and professions.  It’s doing its yeomen service in educating the community students and thereby working towards attaining all round progress of the entire community”.


 
Association vice-president Vasudev R Kotian, L Amin, honuorary chief secretary Nityanand D Kotian, honourary treasurer Bhaskar V Bangera, honourary joint secretary C T Salian, Shankar D Poojary, Dharmesh S Salian, U Dhananjay Kumar, joint treasurer Uday S Salian, Ganesh M Billava, Mahesh C Poojary, Premanat P Kotian, women’s wing president Jayanti V Ullal, Seva Dal leader Ganesh K Poojary, school sub committee president B Ravindra Amin, Chandrashekar S Poojary, Bhaskar M Salian, Devendra V Bangera, Mohandas G Poojary, Y Nagesh, and B Koosappa were present.
 
Sanjeev V Palan, Dombivli, Modhav Kotian, K P Suvarna, Thane, Karunakar S Poojary, Bhandup and international basket ball umpire Manoj Kotian were felicitated on the occasion.
 
Association president Jaya Suvarna honoured Bharath Co-operative Bank chairman V R Kotian, chief executive officer J C Poojary, Devendra V Bangera, and C T Salian. 
 
Community children presented prayer hymns.  Honourary secretary C T Salian read the annual report while honourary treasurer Bhaskar V Banagera presented the annual accounts.
 
Honourary chief secretary Nityanand D Kotian welcomed and compered the programme while joint secretary Shankar D Poojary proposed the vote of thanks.
