Natives of Twin Coastal Districts Celebrate Naga Panchami With Fervour

Mumbai, Jul 27:
Nagara Panchami was celebrated with great religious fervour at Subrahmanya temple, a branch of Sri Subrahmanya Mutt, Kukke in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, situated at the suburban Chedda Nagar, Chembur, here on Sunday July 26.


 
Thousands of devotees from all over the metro who were unable to offer worship at the original math thronged the temple to offer prayers and worship the Naga idol. Temple priest Prasad Bhat performed the rituals.

Scores of devotees offered puja at the temple that began early in the morning. He devotees were also offered free food on the occasion.
 
The prasadam of Nagara Panchami offerings were distributed to devotees after the puja till late evening, said temple administrator Vishwanat Karanth. Donor Nagendra Acharya, Billava community leader K Bhojaraj and Purushottam Kotian among others were present.
