Dubai, Jul 28: Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates, one of the largest organizations for Billawas in Dubai, has wholeheartedly come forward to release and distribute over Rs.6.5 lakh to the needy and deserving community students back in India.
The selection of students was handled by an independent NGO who have finalized the said list of 240 needy students, out of a flood of applications received by BDNE year after year. Members of this NGO called Guru Narayana Charitable Trust have visited homes of each and every student to make sure that the education help reaches the deserving and needy students. Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates are one of the few organizations doing such a great job every year and are proud to say that they are able to assist these needy students, though the number of recipients gets doubled every year.
As put by BDNE representative, “Our sole aim of running this organization here in UAE is to support our community in the field of education and medical help for the really needy back home and we have a strong team to realize this.”
Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates have been doing this charity work for many years and are now recognized by fellow Billawas back in India whose positive response is regularly received at BDNE management in the UAE'
Talking on education, the BDNE spokesman said, “Education is very important since it is the process of putting one’s potentials to maximum use. Training of human mind is not complete without education. Education makes man think right. and helps him/her to take decisions". He added, “Through the attainment of education, one can receive information from the external world; to acquaint himself/herself with past history and receive all necessary information regarding the present.”
"It is a known fact that unfortunately not everyone has an opportunity to receive this formal type of education. There are not enough resources to provide schooling. Furthermore because parents need their children to help them work in factories, have odd jobs, or just do farm work on account of financial burden. But no matter what, education is the key that allows people to move up in the world, seek better jobs, and ultimately succeed fully in life. Education is very important, and no one should be deprived of it. If community organizations and leaders take initiative and work for the betterment of their community, in either small or big way, one day we will definitely see a better status in the whole structure and strong India," he furher said in conclusion.
Apart from other activities, Billawas Dubai & NE have taken this bold initiative to help the needy children of their community to pursue their chosen field of education so that they become responsible citizens of their country.
It is commendable that the education scholarship floated by the BDNE every year is an assurance from them to these needy children to concentrate more on studies without having to worry about the school fees during any stage of their studies and later progress in their life.
