Bengaluru: D K Shivakumar to get important party position on release from jail

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 11: Congress general secretary in-charge of Karnataka K C Venugopal, met former minister D K Shivakumar, who has been lodged in Tihar jail since the last three weeks, on Thursday October 10. He was accompanied by Shivakumar's brother and MP D K Suresh. The two held discussions with Shivakumar for about 30 minutes.

It is said that Venugopal assured Shivakumar of full moral support from the party during his hour of crisis. He also is said to have promised to give him a responsible position in the party once he comes out of the prison. Shivakumar was earlier hoping to get the post of the leader of the opposition which has gone to Siddaramaiah.

Speaking to media persons later, Venugopal said that case registered against Shivakumar was purely backed by political moves. He said that he is confident that Shivakumar will come out of these things.

Its lure just to be tight lipped...otherwise consequences may be catastrophic.
Venugopal is at legal risk, by making such statement to an accused.

What a way to reward the corrupt in our corrupt political system!! The BJP rewards its Parappana Agrahara jail returnee with the Chief Minister's post and the Congress is now ready to reward its jail returnee with an important party position. The bottom line is the more corrupt a politician is, the higher he can climb in Indian politics. A really bright future awaits this country.

    Makes Me SICK!!

Congress INC has had people like DKS in every state who looted the nation and filled the party coffers.
ANY sane ,unbiased human can see the amount of money and Benami property this animal has obtained and siphoned around .People call him a leader.

And the party wants to give him a good position - they are showing utter disrespect to the people and democracy - hence they are not in power

you do not feel sick when Daku's son amasses disproportionate wealth.
you do not feel sick when yediyurappa was sent to jail for corruption
you do not feel sick when Reddy spends 500 crores of looted money from karnataka on his daughter's wedding.
you do not feel sick when the blue boy of Karnataka Bjp is made DCM again against his own party cadres!

Better check with a doctor soon as you have selective sickness.
