Udupi: Holiday declared for schools and PU colleges on October 25  due to rains

Udupi, Oct 25: Deputy commissioner of the district declared holiday for the schools and PU colleges for Friday, October 25 due to heavy rains. 

The state including the coast has been experiencing heavy rains since a week. The meteorological department has warned that cyclonic storm 'Kyarr' may be formed due to depression in atmospheric pressure experienced in Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep. It has warned about the possibility of heavy rains pounding the twin-districts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada for the next two days. 

Dakshina Kannada has already declared holiday doe schools and PU colleges for October 25.

    No use of holidays for students if they cannot enjoy. Cant play outside because of rain. I suggest to help your mother clean the house for Diwali festival

    please do not criticise..it is cloudy and heavy winds and light rain are experienced since morning in the city of Mangaluru near bejai ksrtc where I am living.

    But from today morning onwards not raining... Not a single drop of rain... Children enjoy... Degree students you all are lucky... Finish your semester... No head ache of postponement...best of luck. Those have holiday today they have to attend special classes in holidays... So don't worry be cheerful..

    Ok..! Now regular classes will be not there due to precautions , but an semester exam will be there so that students should write the exam on their wet pants and attend the exams late so that are banned for this semester

    Good decision taken by Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district,G Jagadeesha Sir.These heavy rains with gusting winds were unpredictable and it was for the better for the students who would have gone out in this rains and get drenched . Prevention is better than cure.
