Bengaluru, Oct 25: With regards to celebrating Tipu Jayanti, difference in opinion is being heard within BJP party circles itself. As evidence to this internal rivalry Sharath Bacchegowda son of BJP MP Bacchegowda and BJP Yuva Morcha secretary has promised at a programme that he will himself ensure that Tipu Jayanti is celebrated this year. 

BJP had vehemently opposed the Tipu Jayanti celebrations during the tenure of Siddaramaiah as well the coalition government. But now the party is facing the heat within its cadre. Sharath Bacchegowda made this controversial statement at an Uroos programme that was held at Hoskote on Friday, October 25. 

Sharath Bacchegowda said, "Many people had told me not to celebrate Tipu Jayanti in the past. However, this year, I will ensure that Tipu Jayanti is celebrated in my presence. We will celebrate Tipu Jayanti in Thammarasanahalli which is adjacent to our village." 

As soon as Bacchegowda made this statement, a Muslim youth, who was elated, showered currency notes on him as a mark of appreciation.
