Margao: Goa Govt constitutes Core Committee to monitor Swine Flu

Margao, Aug 7: The government of Goa has constituted a core committee of doctors and officials, to monitor and supervise the treatment of swine flu in the state and to recommend measures to control the disease.

The committee will be headed by S K Srivastava, chief secretary and secretary (health), comprising of Dr V N Jindal, dean of Goa Medical College, Bambolim, Dr Virendra Gaonkar, paediatrician, Campal Clinic, Panaji, Dr N G Dubhashi, Prof and head of the department of medicine, Goa Medical College, Bambolim, Dr Anar Khandeparkar, associate professor, department of medicine, goa Medical College, Bambolim, Dr Rachita Gupta Velho, assistant professor, department of medicine, Goa Medical College, Dr Jagadish A Cacodkar, associate professor, prevention and social medicine, Goa Medical College, Bambolim, Dr Sanjeev Dalvi, deputy director cum medical superintendent, Dr Ruando E J J. Desa, deputy director cum medical superintendent, Hospicio Hospital, Margao and Dr Savio Rodrigues, professor and head, department of microbiology, Goa Medical College, Bambolim.

Dr Rajnanda Dessai, director of health services, Campal, Panaji is the member secretary of the core committee.

The order pertaining to this committee was issued by Dattaram G. Sardessai, joint secretary (health) on Friday August 7.
