The police are saying that it is really tragic that the young generation is becoming victim of this deadly abuse. They have requested the parents and guardians to keep a track of the movements of their wards. The district police has also given a call to all the citizens to inform the police out of their own will of any activity that they come across that is related to the selling and use of drugs.

The district police has already conducted several programmes, explaining the ill-effects of drug abuse, in various schools and colleges of the district and is going to continue the same in future also. This drive by the police against the drug sales and use will continue for some time.

    @ Shankar,
"A few puffs of weed once n a while or a snort of coke , doesn't amount to addiction. We all have gone through it." I truly agree to your point.

No harm in having fun but life is not meant to get stuck at a certain juncture. Always go with the flow i.e. responsibilities & commitment in life.

    The drug is a Curse...
Few make money but at whose cost?
They ruin the life of the addict AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH pain, sorrow, and Agony, Financial losses.
The time now to Crackdown heavily on all drug peddlers, carriers. and also imbibers.
The Philippines ..President declared war on this curse by declaring WAR and simply shooting the Peddlers in broad daylight like Dogs.
    same in KSA, Iran...
    why not in India.
the total Janatah.. public. should now come together to eliminate this Curse, Evil.. from the bud...
    time for action..

During forgone times, drug addiction used to be very common or popular and limited to western/Communist blocks and gradually started spreading to Muslim countries crossing Indian sub-continent. It is pathetic to know that India’s youth has succumbed to the use of narcotics. Some times, even educated lot is falling victim to drug addiction. Once fallen to the use of drugs, it is very difficult for the addicts to come out of it. Parents cannot keep a watch or chase grown up children everywhere. It’s a menace and children spoil their career and bring turmoil in the family. So bad and so sad!

    Responsibility is what matters.
A few puffs of weed once n a while or a snort of coke , doesn't amount to addiction. That is recreation. We all have gone through it, i still won't refuse a chance of a puff or a snort even now, But I can confidently say that I am not addict because I don't go searching for ot!

Why only college. In D. K. Reputed school students are addicted. Most of school and college authorities are not concerned about the students. Govt. Should appoint qualified councillors in all educational institututions and the report should be submitted to Govt. Authorities.
