Mangaluru: Prostitution in spa - Two arrested, five women rescued

Mangaluru, Oct 31: Kadri police arrested two persons on the charges of running prostitution business in a spa and saloon situated in a commercial complex in Kankanady on Thursday, October 31. 

The arrested persons are identified as Walid Khan (34), resident of Mangaladevi, Mangaluru and Istikar(38), resident of Uttar Pradesh. As per the reports they were involved in the racket as pimps. 

Five women were rescued from the place. 

Sources said a woman who was also involved in the racket as pimp is absconding. 

Police rescued five women who were the victims of prostitution. The operation was conducted by Kadri police inspector Shantaram, SI Maruti and staff.

    What do you think, woman is some kind of fruit to be sold?

    Just imagine the life woman who is fallen or forced into such situation....

    We all know how the woman is trapped and pulled into this business, yet no one takes this seriously.....

    Have you ever heard any PM or CM in our country trying to help woman trapped in this business.... They dont care right , cause this is not their vote bank.

    Bombay and Delhi are known biggest red light area in the country.....So much illegal activities happing there .

    Has anyone done anything about it?

    You are being naive. Legalized prostitution in better.
    What is the point of prostitution being kept illegal when you know places where prostitution takes place?
    Why doesn't police put rain on red-light district and save all women over there?

    Keeping prostitution illegal benefits sex traffickers.
    If the women who work in that profession suffer abuse they cannot report to anyone, because if they do they themselves will be in trouble for reporting it. eg:, a drug addict won't go to police complaining that the drug peddler has cheated him.

    Government should legalize prostitution.
    We can prevent rape, molestation & sexual frustration by legalizing prostitution.
    But the society is designed in such a way that by showing religious books and books on moral conduct, people are forced to have fun in secret!

    Who will prevent other crimes related to prostitution like human trafficking, abduction and blackmail? Many are forced into the trade after rape and blackmailing the victim. Before legalizing prostitution there should be harsh laws against crimes associated with it.

    What this individual has to do with any political party? When you make aligation on any party or person make sure you have done your fact check. This is no fun. Blaming BJP / Congress / any other political parties. For development of a nation, contribution of each and every single citizen of this nation is vital. You may have political differences , but when a government take good move you have to support and when it's not in favour of the development of the nation you have to protest (with in the framework of law).     First, they will be given proper treatment by all police crew. Second, they may offer some pocket money from politicians or the moral police team for their great company. Finally, thrown to back yard----on street.....
