Mangaluru: Srinivas Institute of Technology Valachil launches 'AISIRI' Kannada Sangha

Mangaluru, Nov 1: Srinivas Institute of Technology (NAAC accredited) Valachil, here, recently inaugurated 'AISIRI' Kannada Sangha.

The chief guest for the function was Bellal Gopinath Rao who was welcomed with a formal pilot parade by the students and also by traditional chande.

The president of the function was Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal SIT, Mangaluru.

Poorvi and Jyothi began the function with a devotional prayer song.

The association was inaugurated in Indian tradition of lighting the holy lamp. Basavaraj Vandal, president of 'AISIRI' Kannada Sangha delivered a welcome speech and presided over the function.

All the dignitaries on the dais were welcomed with a floral bouquet and the office bearers for the association were announced.

The chief guest, Bellal Gopinath Rao spoke a few motivational words and highlighted the importance of Kannada, clean India, army life, their experience in Ramakrishna Mission and presented an inspirational talk to the students.

The principal Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D explained about Kannada, culture of Kannada and to be a proud Kannadiga. Some students of the nearby Higher primary school of Valachil, Mangaluru participated in various events conducted by the association and were honoured with prizes by Bellal Gopinath Rao.

Sudheendra H N, assistant professor, department of Mechanical Engineering and coordinator of 'AISIRI', Kannada Sangha with all the other people present at the programme took the oath of being a proud Kannadiga and briefly explained about the association's activities that will be held in 2019-20.

Finally, the vote of thanks was given by the vice-president, Vishwanathraddi Radder. All these beautiful moments were captured by Anukumar.
